Gene Pease is one of my favorite local MSP photographers. Gene and Jill met back in high school while they were working at a sandwich shop. They like Toms shoes and Famous Dave’s BBQ.
When I film a wedding, I look for things that stand out throughout the day. Whether it’s a reoccurring theme or just something that is unique to the couple, these are the things that I feel make great films. For Gene and Jill, their day felt like a big hug. From the giant green trees that hung over the top of us and hugging us during their ceremony, to the countless hugs I saw Gene and Jill exchange, we could all feel their love. The Woods was a very secluded, yet warm and intimate place to have a wedding, very appropriate for Jill and Gene.
I hope you enjoy their film. Afterwards, hug someone you love. If you don’t have someone to love, go apply at a sandwich shop and see what develops. -M
