On My Way Back

I miss my wife. March has been a travel month for me, 26 days away from home. I have spent the last month on a journey filled with so many new friends and fresh ideas. One thing I really want to do this year is connect to people’s stories.

Part of my journey included a week long “inspiration” trip to the Pacific Northwest with my friend Spencer Combs. We set off each day without a plan, looking for inspiration in wherever the road took us. We went to a rainforest, found a hidden beach off the coast of Vancouver, found sleep in Seattle and even learned that you can navigate through new territory without a map, cell or gps. It was quite the journey and I will be sharing clips from it soon.

Another huge part of my month has been spent learning more about film. I just finished the Stillmotion Evo Experience up in Toronto, which totally rocked my world. I am SO excited to keep pushing forward with our wedding films in new and exciting ways. While I was up there I shared a wedding clip from a recent wedding we shot in Minneapolis this winter, so I thought I would share it on the blog again too. Enjoy!
