A Busy Weekend…

Thanks go out to the amazing Dolce Studios and our new friends at  13 Twentythree Photography for great times of shooting together. I will be posting highlight clips soon.

In meeting with brides recently, I have come across a couple questions that I want to answer for anyone who might read our blog:

Q: Who picks the music in your videos?
A: Normally we do, but requests are always appreciated. We try our best to find songs that compliment your day…the energy, the tone, the mood…all of those contribute to our musical selection during the editing process. We are big fans of all styles of music and our library is very diverse.

Q: How long do the finished, edited DVD's end up being?
A: On average a full-day of coverage ends up being about an hour long, figuring your ceremony is in the 25-45 minute range. We take the pre-wedding (getting ready, pictures, etc.) and compile a montage that usually ends up being about 5-10 minutes, the ceremony in real-time, and the after wedding events (departure, photos, arrival, reception, speaches, dances) in another montage similar to the pre-wedding events, but with actual audio from speeches, etc. This after-wedding piece usually ends up being about 20 minutes, depending on how long-winded the speeches are.

Q: Will you guys travel?
A: ABSOLUTELY! We are all about destination weddings and would love to work something out if your wedding is out of town. Personally, we think that a video for a destination wedding is an essential must-have, especially for smaller weddings. Contact us for details on travel, rates, etc.

Q: How long does it take to get the finished DVD in hand?
A: We run on a 4-6 week timeline on all weddings. We are usually editing a couple weddings at a time and the typical edit is about a 30-40 hour process plus packaging. We are trying our best to put preview clips on our blog so you can get a sneak peak within a week or two.

Q: Do you guys shoot in High Definition?
A: Always. The quality is amazing and we can always convert it back to Standard Definition if needed.
